Lew Marklin Dazzles the Red Carpets at Sundance Film Festival with new Rock Goddess

Best Dressed 2012 Sundance
OK, so I have been waiting for something that is worthwhile to write about and since 2012 is the end of the world my new years resolution is to give the aliens or crickets or whoever survives, something good to read. Of course, I am just kidding. If Mayans were so smart, they would at least own gaming casinos. So, this year is awesome and the only way to start a year awesome is to start it with beautiful fabulous celebrities on red carpets. In my opinion, however, most of these carpets are invoking my deepest yawns and sending me into hibernation well before yellowstone's picnic baskets have been rounded up. Thank God for Lew Marklin. I hear the theme music now. It's the bad boy of news on his way down the carpet to meet his public. In the past Marklin has made his appearances spars, but always quality. Appearing with Khloe Kardashian and then of course his love interests, Angie Kai and Alexa Demara in 2009. What I love about Lew Marklin, is he chooses quality over quantity. You can always pic him out of a line up for flash and originality and this year takes the cake.
Who's That Girl?
Marklin shows up with his new squeeze, indie pop singer and recording artist Laura Ivancie. The two are all smiles, like two kids in a candy store; partners in crime and as black n' white as the squad cars on their tail. I want to rant on and on, but the pic speaks for itself. It's awesome, lovely, ravishing and perfect: Black and White with a pure political theme. In a press release from earlier tonight Marklin states: "This year I wanted to start out the year on the carpet at Sundance Film Festival. I have been an indie TV producer trying to stick to my guns and make my way, over the last ten years, which has made me an incredibly broke celebrity, but I never lost my voice or my dignity in the process of doing what I love. In 2011 I gave much time to the causes and humanitarian messages that are dear to my heart and this year the theme seems to be politics at the festival, so we wore matching black & white." Marklin adds "Laura is the muse and I am the broadcast. The truth is black & white. Our leaders have been dishing us all shades of grey and robbing life of all the color and it's gotta stop." He also says that Laura fell by his side and he caught her like that exercise in drama class, in grade school, where the teacher tells you to fall backwards and trust that your partner will catch you. The exercise was to symbolize that we have to work together and trust that we got each others best interest in this world, to make it a better place. I think that it is a positive and refreshing take on the red carpet. It shows responsibility and charity.
Jerry's Final Thought
I absolutely love it and cannot wait for more! So far, most of the red carpet pics from Sundance 12 are lackluster and boring. Just people standing stiff or slouching, wearing everyday clothes, carrying handbags, giveaway items or rolling bags on wheels. Common people, give us a show! Dance monkeys, Dance!
